Free Books! Writing Update and Other Things.
Still trying to figure out a good cadence for these things.
Oh, hey,
Yeah. I’m back and only a week later. No. Nothing is going on. I’m just trying to post on here a little more frequently. Unless you don’t want to hear from me. Which is understandable, seeing as how you came here for serial fiction, not rambling updates.
But, oh well. You’re stuck with these for a little while.
So, yeah, updates.
Writing Update
Didn’t bury the lead this time.
Waking up early is going surprisingly well. I’m on a 21-day writing streak, that’s gotta count for something–21 days of somethings, anyhow.
Bards and Bargains is over 92,000 words. It’s almost done. I can see the end. That might sound insane. Yeah, the… uh… people I made up are telling me that this story is almost over. No. Everybody thinks about that stuff. Right? They (the voices that is) are a little louder than my guilty conscience that is telling me to stop everything I’m doing and go finish the deck at my parents' house.
I will get the deck done and this book. I’m working on it. I’m just slow.
IndieReads Stuff Your Ereader Event
Wait. I did bury the lead. Damnit. I’m supposed to be a journalism major. Free stuff below the fold. Come on, man.
Tales & Treasure is available for FREE as part of the indiereads.org Stuff Your Ereaders Event. It’s an awesome website and event that supports indie authors. You don’t have to buy my silly bard book; there are tons of other awesome options available, many of which are free. Go on, stuff your ereader.
Other Stuff
We’re still going strong with the marathon training; I haven’t missed a day yet. Let’s see, oh, reading. I finished The Alchemist. Not. A. Fan. Don’t get me started. I also finished Heroes For Hire: It’s a Hard Life by Daniel W. Cochran. It’s a really solid novella that captures everything I like about fantasy stories. The characters are awesome and charming. It’s a perfect story to read over a weekend, plus Cochran is an indie author, so you gotta support the community, right? Right?
Anyway, I’m thinking about posting these types of updates more regularly, maybe once a week, once a month. What do you think? Let’s take a poll. It’s just one question, not a survey, settle down. I don’t want to pester you with tiresome emails. We get enough of those already. So, if you wouldn’t mind, fill out the poll and help me help you eventually help me. You get it.
Share & Stay in Touch
If you enjoy these occasional updates and want them on a more regular basis, fill out the poll, or better yet, share my stories with someone who’d like them. I’m getting there, building the habits, staying consistent, just trying to get a little better. See you soonish. (Next week, who knows?)
